The travel ban of several months comes to an end with Sri Lanka reopening its borders for tourism. The airports in Sri Lanka are taking extra precautionary measures to meet the health standards and adapt to the requirements of the “new normal”. 

However, Tourists are expected to go through 3 different COVID-19 tests in order to be granted access into the country. The first test is conducted prior to arrival and is required to show proof of negative PCR results, the second test is conducted upon arrival and the third test is conducted after a period of quarantine and upon proof of negative COVID results, the tourist may resume their trip. 

Sri Lanka is a place worth adding to your post-covid bucket list. Sri Lanka is home to beautiful beaches, tea plantations, and wildlife-packed national parks. You can opt for a more countryside charm and lush greenery by visiting areas of Ella, Adams peak, and Nuwaraeliya whereas if you are more of a beach person, Galle, Mirissa, and Unawatuna would be worth a visit!
