Galle is a key city in the South Coast of the island and 15 km south of Colombo. The Portuguese Dutch Fort which runs along 90 acres attracts many tourists day by day. Include old churches starting with Dutch Reformed Church dating back to 1754, the Dutch entrance to the fort, all the cemeteries and old buildings, the Martin Wikramasinghe Museum of Folk Art and Culture in Koggala, the Stilt Fisherman along the coast from Ahangama to Weligama and the pristine beaches along the coast. A walk around the ramparts is highly recommended!
